What this site is

AirlineGrades counts flights from the punctuality files that national aviation regulators publish, and grades airlines, routes and airports on what those files show. Every figure is derived from a named public source and covers a stated period.

What a grade is not

A grade describes the past. It is not a prediction about any particular flight — most delay comes from weather, air traffic control and knock-on effects from an aircraft's earlier legs, none of which a historical rate can foresee.

It is not a safety rating. Nothing in this data measures safety, and nothing here should be read as saying one airline is safer than another.

It is not travel advice, and it is not legal advice.

Accuracy, and how to correct us

We take accuracy seriously enough to refuse to publish a figure we cannot support: where a regulator does not release a number, the site shows a dash rather than an estimate, and nothing is graded on a sample too small to mean anything.

Errors are still possible — in our processing, or in the source files themselves. If you believe a figure here is wrong, tell us what page and what number and we will check it against the source and correct it publicly if it is wrong.

Independence

AirlineGrades is not affiliated with any airline, airport, or aviation authority. No airline pays for placement, and no ranking on this site can be bought. The site carries advertising, which is marked as advertising and has no bearing on any figure or grade.

Trademarks

Airline and airport names are the trademarks of their owners and are used here only to identify the operator a page is about. We do not reproduce airline logos.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. Decisions about travel are yours, and we accept no liability for them.
