🇨🇱 Flight delays in Chile

8 graded routes · 0 airports · March 2025 – August 2026

Where these figures come from

Chile’s own regulator does not publish punctuality data

These figures come from Brazil’s ANAC and the UK Civil Aviation Authority, which report every flight at their own end of the route — whichever airline operates it. So this is not a picture of all air travel in Chile — domestic flights within Chile, and its routes to countries that publish nothing, are absent.

What the record shows

On Chile routes the airlines separate clearly: British Airways arrived on time 19.7 points more often than LATAM Airlines. Both fly the same corridors into the same airports, so the difference is in how each is run rather than where each flies.

Because these flights are counted at the other end of the route, the picture is partial by construction. Domestic flying inside Chile does not appear, and neither do its routes to countries that publish nothing. What is here is accurate; it is simply not everything.

Common questions

Which airline is most punctual on Chile routes?

British Airways, at 84.7% on time across 457 flights on those routes. The least punctual was LATAM Airlines at 65%.

Does Chile publish flight delay data?

No. Chile publishes no punctuality data of its own. The figures here come from Brazil’s ANAC and the UK Civil Aviation Authority, which report every flight at their own end of the route — so domestic flying inside Chile is not covered.

Can I claim compensation for a delayed flight from Chile?

There is no statutory compensation scheme for flights departing Chile. A cancellation normally entitles you to a refund under the airline's own conditions of carriage, and European rules may still reach your flight if the journey ends in the EU or UK on a European carrier.
