🇪🇸 Flight delays in Spain
446 graded routes · 0 airports · March 2025 – August 2026
Where these figures come from
Spain’s own regulator does not publish punctuality data
These figures come from the UK Civil Aviation Authority and Brazil’s ANAC, which report every flight at their own end of the route — whichever airline operates it. So this is not a picture of all air travel in Spain — domestic flights within Spain, and its routes to countries that publish nothing, are absent.
What the record shows
On Spain routes the airlines separate clearly: Air Europa arrived on time 17.6 points more often than TUI Airways. Both fly the same corridors into the same airports, so the difference is in how each is run rather than where each flies.
Because these flights are counted at the other end of the route, the picture is partial by construction. Domestic flying inside Spain does not appear, and neither do its routes to countries that publish nothing. What is here is accurate; it is simply not everything.

Common questions
Which airline is most punctual on Spain routes?
Air Europa, at 78.9% on time across 1,952 flights on those routes. The least punctual was TUI Airways at 61.3%.
Does Spain publish flight delay data?
No. Spain publishes no punctuality data of its own. The figures here come from the UK Civil Aviation Authority and Brazil’s ANAC, which report every flight at their own end of the route — so domestic flying inside Spain is not covered.
Can I claim compensation for a delayed flight from Spain?
Yes. Spain is covered by EC 261, so a flight departing it — on any airline — can be worth roughly €250 to €600 after an arrival delay of three hours or more, unless the cause was an extraordinary circumstance such as severe weather.
